Storm Cottage by Fearon Hay Architects:
"The hotel is located on the east coast of Iceland Fantastic Barrier -. a black rough sawn timber box sitting hunting north to the sea
The dark outer range is completed with a layer of perforated metal screens. These operable layer makes it possible moderation of light / air and protection both when busy and alone. Internal walls and floors are covered with oiled oak planks that provide a warm, contrary to its rugged exterior.
Maintenance program for a pair of symmetrical bedroom and private bath adjusted to a central living room.
Care was created to limit the scale of construction and a feeling of 'hut'.
The construct is from the network, powered by solar panels for water collection and independent systems remedies.
This is a refuge, shelter, warmth and comfort to get involved with the wilderness and isolation of remote setting "
