... .We have been so excited when we approached by the talented team at Martha Stewart to connect to on an opportunity that "12 months of Martha Stewart Crafts Team" to compete. As part of the plan, a month to month box Martha's newest and hottest Craft Product bloggers, develop some what unbelievable, and post about it on their websites. These projects are carried on derMarthaStewart Pinterest board and MarthaStewart.com. Everything we needed was a point of inspiration, and I looked over my home for some thing that functionally and aesthetically, and soon everything will be taken long overdue in attack, was would be identified.

My husband and I have both the convenience and inconvenience of working from home, in very different careers. We share a bright, high, space on the 3rd floor of our suburban NJ resident. Together, the professionals will outweigh the disadvantages when both partners residence-based are primarily and operation, but we urgently needed to subdivide spaces something to our office and give a sense of privacy and definition of the workspace - without the entire luminosity we from enjoying the open space, when we remodeled. So Michelle and I decided to produce a stylish yet affordable, range divider and even by due to serve it as a distinct border between the two offices. Sounds ambitious, is not it? In fact, it was surprisingly effortless and cost-effective - and not a lot to mention entertaining. Here's how we did it ... ..

1) wooden dowels rods (we selected 3 different sizes of thickness)
2) eyebolts (the smallest we could uncover, close to crafts shop)
3) Aluminum jump rings (12 mm size)
4) Martha Stewart Crafts ™ Gloss Spray Paint Kit
5) Martha Stewart Crafts ™ Sprayable Gloss Enamel Finish
6) Martha Stewart Crafts ™ Multi-Surface Glow-in-the-dark acrylic paint
7) Martha Stewart Crafts® Stains

Here is a walk-through of the approach :

We had an old courtyard garden table we have no objection to work on with colors and materials and stained the dowel rods by wiping on the stain with a cloth and let it dry. If you do not have an old table, make sure you down stamens or newspaper, if you set the Use colors and stains.

tape Masking / painter is the best strategy to cover any areas you do not want to paint or Spot.

We then produced a provisional 'dryer' of an old plastic tub and creates a grid of the painter's tape, to the painted bars sticking to prevent collectively. Then the spray turned on the sticks, with the white color with 1 and allow them to dry. Note that you may need to apply a few layers of spray paint for a clean, consistent, finish.

Repeat the last two steps for every other color that you want to present your project. We chose colors that are all available, ie dark wood are glowing pink with white contrast and a splash.

Once the paint is dry, take off basically the masking / tape and painter's start fixing the eyebolts in 2 on the bottom and 2 at best (for our project, we have measured , 1.5 have "from the edge, which was also at the painting on a single end of each dowel rod). A good tip to help you fixing the eye bolts in place to provide a micro Phillips screwdriver (we improvised and done in this way), or better yet an awl (we could not explore), to use a tiny hole in which to begin fixing the eyebolt. Thus you will save your fingers feel like you just went 15 shelves deep with Ikea's finest.

We connected the rods, jump through the eye bolts, with 3 rings 12mm, but you can decide what amount you think is right. As a rough rule of thumb, the thinner the dowel the rings less would you like to wish to place among them, so that you can feel one thing physical between the rooms do not shed.

We then stained a piece of wood, which we measured at the desired length of the 3 columns of rods with a space between each column. Use nylon fishing line, we have the columns of bars of the leading wood pieces and voila! - We had a nice room divider. To quit commence, with out taking into account the time to gather the components or the paint to dry, it took about two hours to prep and full of the project. If you started in the morning, to be installed on a warm sunny day as we can, and by the drill-down in a single day!

The bonus for us was when we realized that if we get bored with the color scheme, or simply just trying to change that we wall art to make this project an excellent explanation as one piece. It was a lot of entertaining, provides a lot of function and style, but most of all - it was straightforward and affordable
