Hand knotted carpets from Finland, on Nepal

on our current trip to Finalnd, we were taken with the understated elegance of Kristiina Lassus' hand-knotted carpets. The Helsinki born designer whose resume includes products for Alessi developed, showed a number of fine patterns and rich organic designs for the duration of the Helsinki Design and Style Week, masterly crafted rugs, hand in Nepal created in terms of Indian and Nepalese craftsmen. With delicate nature-inspired types infused (we especially love the Miro-like representations of kuuma line), further reflects Lassus' work the inventive influences cultures, though somehow the subtlety and restraint to their own Nordic expression emotions.
